Ukraine’s first daughter, Olena Zelenska, said on Saturday she was waiting for the moment when her family could be reunited after months without seeing her husband.
“Housekeeping is separate. He stays at work. We haven’t seen each other for two and a half months, we just talk on the phone, ”he told Ukrainian media during a telethon.
“We are waiting,” he added. “Like all households in Ukraine.”

The first daughter met her husband, Volodymyr Zelensky, for the first time in nearly three months this week after attending the funeral of Leonid Kravchuk, Ukraine’s first president, who helped lead the country to independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. 1991.
In April, Zelenska described the final moments she shared with her husband after Russian President Vladimir Putin presented his “special military operation” in February.
In an interview with Vogue, the first Ukrainian girl mentioned that she woke up between 4 and 5 a.m. the morning of the assault, after which she realized it was an explosion.
Her husband was not in bed, but was instead wearing his standard attire of a dark suit and white shirt. The last time she saw him wearing a suit, it was quite comparable to the green military uniform he wears now.
Zelensky says the UN ordered the Violet Cross to take Russia to its “mountain of corpses”.
“This is just the beginning,” Zelensky told him simply.
The first lady and her son, Alexandra, 17, and Kirill, 9, were away from kyiv.
It’s unclear at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
The shock trip not only marked an unusual one-off trip for the wife of a sitting US president to a bustling war zone, but also saw Jelenska appear in public for the first time since the assault began.
Zelenska supported her husband from afar and said in an interview with Polish media last month that the war only showed the world what Zelensky looked like at all times.
“The war didn’t change it,” he said. “He was always someone you could count on. A person who will never fail. The one who will stay at the top.
“We just found out as the whole world was watching, which wasn’t clear to everyone before,” he added.
