49 law enforcement personnel recognized dead
ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – A ceremony was held Tuesday for fallen officers from across New York State. A total of 49 officers were recognized for giving their lives in the service and defense of New Yorkers.
Fourteen officers who had been recognized died in the line of obligation. Another 35 people died of illnesses resulting from their work at Floor Zero following the 9/11 attacks.
