Current Status: The company was incorporated on 27 July 2011 to trade in the business of supplying, fitting and repairing engines. 

The company was subject to an investigation by the Company Investigations office of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. The petition to wind up the company was presented by the Secretary of State in the public interest, following that investigation. 

The investigator was informed that RMI Engines was set up in July to August 2011 to take on commercial contracts with transport companies to supply, fit and repair larger truck engines. The company is believed to have commenced trading in August 2011 in the supply, fitting and repairing of engines for cars and light commercial vehicles.

Arrangements will need to be made, by any such customers, for the uplift of their vehicles, the Official Receiver is not able to provide any indication as to the current position of these vehicles or the progress of any works which may have been carried out. Customers will be required to provide proof of ownership as well as identification prior to release of their vehicles. The Official Receiver’s agents will be attending the trading premises on Friday 30 March 2012, at lunch time, to allow customers to uplift their vehicles. Customers are advised to contact this office in advance of their attendance to allow appropriate notification to be made to both the Official Receiver and his agents. Customers should not remove vehicles without contacting this office as removal in the absence of evidence of ownership may result in a report being made to the police.
