Radio Shack does NOT Suck
Knowledgeable, professional, well trained, personable employees. Sales on merchandise is a plus, considering you DO pay money for service.
I have never had a problem with this particular Radio Shack. Every employee is knowledgable in what they are selling. Like any other business, they are there to make money, but the difference is, the Dartmouth Mall Radio Shack employees don't try to scam you. If you tell them, "My Model XXX laptop broke. I have a $400 budget, and I would like a built in webcam on my new one." The employees will show you notebooks in the $300-$450 range, both taking into consideration your personal needs ("Did you watch a lot of movies on your laptop?"), and give their honest, expert input. ("Well, sir, the Model XXX2 is an upgrade to your XXX, with a webcam and Skype, but it's not well-known for its DVD viewing. However, many customers have told me the YYY4 is great for that." They value your business, you as an individual customer, not a fatter paycheck next week. This store doesn't try to outrageously upsell ("The XGY483 is $700 but it has a built in camera, 40" monitor, and you can even unlock your car with it! But I can knock the price to $600 and give you a deal on a wireless mouse for $50, and a mousepad for $30.") These employees do deserve praise, but the company itself deserves the sales it makes.
