Pasco Window & Door Sucks

Absolutely terrible company experience. We trusted this company to provide an honest transaction along with delivering a product meeting our request and nothing more.

First, the salesman claimed that the energy efficient tax credit was no longer available at the time when in fact it was, thereby delivering an unqualified product (that not even Home Depot will sell in FL).
The product delivered and installed was not energy efficiency rated for the state of FL, or the Southeast region of the US.

Then, the installers laced the interior side of every window installed with an exterior based sealant/caulking with a higher rate VOC (volatile organic compounds) concentration than the carburetor cleaner product Gum-out, creating breathing complications (The sealant is actually illegal for use in CA due to it's hazardous components, and only allowed for exterior use or "forced fan ventilation over 10 days" in FL). THE PRODUCT SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN A LIVED IN HOME.

It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but we did not know any better at the time, or realized the abnormality of the situation, as we had placed our trust with this company, being the so called "professionals". It was only after days of smelling a strong Odor, and (my wife especially) having serious breathing problems that persisted after the fact, that we realized this was not normal, like the odor of what a "new car smell"would have been.

It was at this time that the research began, and we discovered what VOC's even were, defining solar heat ratings and the like, finding out we were duped with incorrect, outdated efficiency rated windows.

It was a most despicable/disappointing continuation of circumstances dealing with the company's owners lack of concern, their apathy and outright arrogance regarding the issues.

No efforts, NONE, to right the wrongs were done, neither to redo the install, no offer to replace the non FL rated windows with the correctly rated product for the state of FL. The owners position was that since "we signed the contract," regardless to whether or not the product delivered wasn't what we had expected or requested, we had "signed the contract". --A very vague contract at that--.
No accountability whatsoever and a terrible experience on all and every level...
