I live in small town in MN &since Centurylink bought out Embarq Internet service is down ALL the time for days.don't get internet from them

I  call today at 3pm after it being down for 3 hours was told it would be back at 6pm.  7pm I call back and then I'm told it would be back at tuesday evening, 2 days later.    I'm going to call and check on cable internet and get rid of this unless they are willing to explain why every week I have to deal with this outages.   When we buy other services and things that require internet and can't use this just multiples the losses.   I can understand something once in a while but over 3 times this year already is not acceptable.   If anyone is thinking about getting their services, at least in MN, I would think twice.   They must know there are problems with all the calls but this has been going on for almost a year now and the time has come to drop them as I can't afford to rely on any consistent service.
